Your privacy and confidentiality are of the utmost importance. As your therapist, I am committed to maintaining the confidentiality of our sessions.
However, if there is convincing evidence that you intend to harm yourself or others, I may need to break confidentiality. This could involve informing your parents, doctor, or in more serious cases, the police, emergency services, or another relevant third party.
Whenever possible and considered appropriate, you will be informed of this action in advance. This is done to ensure your safety and the safety of others.
